Still plugging along. The cab-over is officially rebuilt and today I finished putting down a sub-floor for the Allure oak flooring. The Wain-Scot paneling will take forever because they need 3 coats of Minwax finish.
We have carpeting for the B/R,cab and steps which have been completely rebuilt and a Fan-Tastic remote controlled roof fan to replace a defective roof vent. The to-do list goes on. :B

Excercised the generator under load (space heater) and ran the engine a bit too. Also emptied the water in the bottom bucket of my homemade two bucket dehumidifier. It's two used soap buckets, one inside the other. The top bucket has a bunch of holes drilled in half of the bucket bottom so water can drain from top to bottom bucket. I pour a pile of calcium chloride pellets in the other side of the top bucket. The calcium chloride absorbs water from the air, it runs out the bottom of the pile of pellets and thru the holes into the bottom bucket. Periodically, (monthly) I dump the water out of the bottom bucket and put top bucket back into bottom one. I don't bother changing out the pellets during the winter. Just dispose of them in spring and use fresh pellets in the spring. I bought 1 large bag of the pellets that are intended for removing ice from concrete sidewalks a few years ago and still using it. It's a lot cheaper this way than buying the small drying packets from RV or boat stores. I've used this technique for years in boats and never had mold or mildew develop in the winter.

Went down to storage lot and checked for snow load on roof. Not too bad as recent thaw took care of a lot of it. Ran generator for a bit and took some measurements of TV cabinets. Thinking it's about time to change out the old TVs.

The hose on the outside shower had a leak so I installed a new hose in the shower and put the old one in the outside shower. Its a bit long for out there but will work fine.

I also installed two 12 Volt outlets so we can use our CPAPs when dry camping.

It was a some what sunny day and 40ish. Just had to get out there and do some thing.

Started up the old girl moved it today, noticed somthing leaking under it...damn...Fuel line had been rubbing on the crossmember and wore through, guess I'll have to fix that before I go anywhere. Of course to make matters worse it started backfiring and missing really badly, guess I'm going to have to figure that one out as well....On the bright side, it was a beautiful sunny warm day today, got some early spring yard cleaning done.....

we bought her a pair of 6x9 patio mats that look like a golf course green, several swiveling 1-watt LED lights (battery powered), and a portable battery jump charger/air compressor/light/USB charger. (Clicky) also found out that the front tires are at 54 psi when i installed the TPMS sensors! now i get to use the portable air compressor. maybe while sitting on the new mat?

A word of caution abt storing it in a field,, Florida is full of field mice ((I know cus I live in P-cola)) and a field mouse can and will do a lot of damage to your wiring and the insulation in the walls as well as any other thing they can chew up..When you go to the dealer make sure you have all the manuals and maint. books for the unit...take notes and a lot of pics....

Any idea what I can do about the mice? The lady who owns the field is a good friend of ours and she has an outside cat - maybe he'll keep the mice away? If not, what should we do? Or should we find a different place to store it? We can't beat the price here - it's free! LOL
