Started loading all the stuff since we just brought it home yesterday. Getting rid of everything that we did not use on the last 4 trips in our other unit. Of course on the next trip we will need something I pitched. hehehe

I tried to acquaint myself with the new heating and cooling system - the heat pump, electric heat, regular furnace and the thermostat that controls it all. I'm going to do "camp backyard" tonight to see if I can stay comfortable.

Had 6 new Michelin XPS Rib radials installed today. Pretty big check to write but it will allow me and the wife to sleep better at night on our long Alaska trip. 25 days and counting.

Finished remodeling the main slide of our MH. Slide now has a table and chairs along with a recliner and desk. DW did not want to give up the storage that was in the original settee seats. Put cabinets on the wall. Table slides out to allow for more table space when we have company. Purchased the table, 2 chairs, 2 folding chairs and recliner while in Elkhart, IN for $700. Cabinets and lumber came from Home Depot. Total cost for project was just over $1000. Plus my labor. I'm retired and don't get paid much for my services anymore.

Checked my towing recepticle and wires, had a new one in my tool box-so started the project, ground connection wasn't so good so scraped and wire brushed until brite and re-installed with a new screw-went to wally-world for some shrink tube-I prefer to solder and shrink tube all connections also will use real wire hangers instead of just cable ties.Got a bag of pecan/fudge cookies and expresso-always the best way to supercharge tommorow morning for electrical projects and more packing

This past weekend I gave it the first wash of the season. Roof was really dirty from sitting all winter. Sure glad I have the smooth fiberglass roof as it's a lot easier to clean! Still quite a job getting it clean.

Also glad I installed the new style Max Air brackets last year, as it makes it easy to open the Max Air covers for cleaning.

I made some 2x8 wood ramps to park it on to keep it level at home, so we can keep the refrigerator running between camping trips this summer.

Washed it. Just got back from our first trip in this rig. Before the trip, I installed a PVC holder for the stinky slinky.

Hello,

Would you be so kind to share what you did with PVC? We need to do the same!

Thank you...

I sanitized the water system and dumped the grey tank again. I talked to a welding friend and we are going to weld up the New propane bracket to the frame this Friday and/or Saturday(I just do not trust my welding skills to such an important and stressful weld).

Well I re-sealed the roof, put on a new city/gavity water hatch & put some non-slip tape on the stairs. What else can I do? I am sure there is something else.

Happy and Safe Camping, Robert.
