We had a 40ft 5th wheel with 4 slides, downsized to a Winnebago Adventurer gas 38ft. NOT a Happy Camper! we've been looking around and saw a Super C in the campground were at. Wife made friends quickly and got the nickle tour. Think we may be trading again. What do you have and are you happy with it? I'm going to a show in Jan that will have two dealers for super C, hoping to find out what they are bring prior to attending. Would like 36ft+ must have washer/dryer.

It seems to me that Tripalot, Devocamper, Desert Captain, and greyhook also answered your question pretty well ("What do you have and are you happy with it?").

I have a 32' Coachmen Santara 315QB. I very much like the layout and the general design and am satisfied with the performance on the road. I don't quite so much always enjoy the level of maintenance required for a 20 year old motorhome, but that kind of goes with the territory.

Have a 45' Haulmark, 600hp tandem axle no problem driving it pull a ford explorer on a trailer. Been on the road for 2 years as ka to Mexico and every state except Rhode island..

We had a Super C on the GM Kodiak chassis. Great MH for us. Put almost 100K miles on it in 11 years. The 35' size was good for us. That gave a 27' box to live in. 2 good sized slides helped a lot.
Today most of them are on the International or Freightliner chassis. I would do it again. The truck chassis MH's are easier to work on. With plenty of power.
GM has released the 4500 and 5500 cutoff chassis. May see some Super C's on it in the future.

Always wanted a Class C. We spent about 3 years looking for "The One". Spent a lot of time at RV shows, dealer lots and sorting through CL listings. One morning I saw a newly listed C on CL. The price was great and it was only 20 miles away. I called and woke the guy's wife up--apparently he posted it and went to work. That afternoon, my wife, our daughters, my father and I went to look at it. It was in excellent condition and the price was incredible. We put the deposit on it and was camping that weekend in our "new to us" 2002 Jayco Greyhawk 31RB. It has no slides but the basement is huge. We still get compliments about its condition, still smells new. We have more than enough room. We absolutely love it and have had minimal problems. We've been to 39 states in the 5 years we've owned it, with plans for much more. Want to have a couple more big road-trips before our daughters grow up and fly the coop.

We started with a little Aliner hard sided pop up which enabled me to get my bride addicted to camping. After a year we moved up to a nice Fleetwood Pioneer Spirit 22' TT that I pulled with my F-150 5.4L SCAB.

Kept the trailer for 5 years and traveled extensively in the west. Finally decided we wanted to do some longer trips but had no desire to tow a trailer cross country. Traded it in on our 24' Nexus Class C {no slides} and have not looked back.

The Class C has all of the amenities of the TT but with the convenience of a small motorhome that fits just about anywhere. Upped the equation when I started riding motorcycles again {after a 39-year hiatus} using a small Kendon single trailer which I recently replaced with a nice new 6 X 10' Cargo trailer {14' overall}.

The cargo trailer enables me to safely, securely tow the bike anywhere we want to travel. We get to ride some of the finest bike roads America has to offer and as a bonus, I picked up a bunch of additional storage.

We don't always take the bike and I am shopping for a nice 500 cc quad that will roll right into the trailer when I want to take our fun on four wheels but for now, we are set. After 5+ years and 53K+ trouble free miles, we are looking forward to many more adventures.

We went through the normal progression of RV's from tents to a pop`up and then a 25 ft TT , A 30 ft TT with two slide outs , a 36 ft 4 slide fifth wheel and a bunch of trucks along the way but now have a 3 slide out truck camper and could not be happier ( for now !!) the truck camper is easy to handle in any travel conditions,fits in any campsite or even where there are no campsites, we still have a truck , no wheel bearing or brakes to maintain on a trailer or second vehicle to tow and maintain and no hitches, also no property taxes or registration fees in our state . Of course a truck-camper of any size is not for everyone and our camper requires a 1 ton DRW truck but we think we have finally found what works for us since we are on the move more at this time in our lives , the fifth wheel was great for long stays in one place as were the trailers but so far the truck-camper seems to be a easier way to travel and ours could have come with a washer dryer combo but felt it was a waste of space since we run into campgrounds with cloths washing facilities often enough

We downsized from a Class A wide body to a B+ and do not regret it. Driving the wide body in heavy traffic or narrow roads was becoming stressful. The smaller size B+ suits us much better; it has loads of storage and all the conveniences of the Class A. Depending on the trip, we take a towed - but not always. Better gas mileage is also nice.

He probably had a DIESEL engine truck and does not care for the v10 gas'r is one guess. 2 he probably likes the cab better in a truck vs a motorhome a or c. I know I think the cab area in all the ones we looked at (c's) really sucked as they had little for the driver and most attention in coach area. turn around seats were the BIG thing, but again they are mainly worthless IMO.

Its really scary for folks to be driving something they have no clue about. Watched a guy try to maneuver in a rv park with brand new A and he almost hit a couple of trees as he did not know how to really drive it, turned to short for the size.

But if he can afford the loss on trade ins its his $$ so I guess he can do whatever he wants.

I'm curious, what don't you like about your Winnebago? Is it the floor plan? Or, you just don't like driving the Class A because you were accustomed to driving a truck while pulling a fifth wheel and the Super C will be more like a truck?
