What gear should you drive on steep roads in a class a motorhome

Figure out what engine you have in the motor home, then look up the rpm vs. Hp curve for that engine. When ascending a steep grade (or any other time good Hp is desired), Drive in the gear that provides the rpm closest to max Hp.
