I agree and it has been made into a custom. Charles Kuralt used one when he started CBS Sunday Morning a long time ago and used it to see his girl friend in Montana. He had to confess on his death bed as she got the MT ranch. First one were gas pushers with 440 Chrysler engines in them. Some folks are converting to DPs using various engines.

Take a look

The motorhome that Charles Kuralt used in the series is at the Ford Museum in Dearborn. He and his crew never slept in it as it was for film equipment and for producing the show (at least that's what it said on the plaque).:B

I didn't say that you said that they slept in it, I was just saying what I saw at the museum. :R

Love it. Makes me want to build an RV out of a submarine.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Yep, an FMC. The air conditioning was in the arch over the middle of the coach. Independent rear suspension. Looks like one of the commercial ones. GMC had a commercial version of their Flying Banana.
