- docjExplorerAre you sure these are "F" series units and not "E"? The Ford E-series was the base for most Class C RVs until the Sprinter chassis appeared. As someone who owned an E-450 based Class C with the V-10 engine I can say that the fuel economy is ~9 mpg if you keep speed to less than 65 mph. At higher speeds we were lucky to get 8 mpg.
- rockhillmanorExplorerE-450, V10, 31 ft - avg 11 mpg - if you keep it at a constant 55.
Got 12 mpg twice. - Livies_DadExplorer05 E450 v10 31 ft pulling 06 crv 7--7.5 running 62-65 mph.

- SuperchargedExplorerI'm getting ready to pull out Friday, In my lawn chair I got about 16 mpg, I'm hope it holds right in there on the road. You just never know, I might get 20 if I'm lucky.
29 ft. - ScottMackExplorerAverage of 6.81 mpg over 15,534.9 miles (E-450) - towing with the "frog" behind at ~62 mph.
- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
E-450 I get 10 to 11 @ 48 mph. I weigh in at 14,000 pounds. - BruceMcExplorer IIIYou'll see a lot of folks getting around 9mpg which is our average. Some worse, because they tow and/or run at or over the posted speedlimits, others because they are in no hurry so they get in the way of those that are... B^)

Got 12 mpg twice.
....and tail wind with all sails deployed. :B - DakzukiExplorerSo far on a month long trip pulling a dinghy it's been a low of 12 MPG and a high of 15+. Hills and aerodynamics affect it a lot. In states where I can only do 55 I get better mileage. Here in Utah driving on the freeway at 48 (as one poster is) would be dangerous. There are 80 MPH speed limits here. That would be a 30MPH delta in speed. I'm doing 65 and still going slowly relatively speaking.
