Lost the seal in my driver side window. 05 Fleetwood Ex 39L. Does someone repair these or do they have to be replaced. Have no idea where to do either. Thanks for your help.

I did 7 windows on our previous MH. Less than $150 for the spacer and sealant. A heat gun is your friend when doing this job. It makes cutting through the sealant to separate the 2 panes a lot easier. In most cases the whole unit has to be removed from the MH. The heat gun also works well for loosening the hand rail on the sliding half. We sold that MH home in June so how long the repairs will last is hard to say, they did hold up for several years.

Edgetech super space comes in several thicknesses. The glass is typically 1/8" thick. So you need to measure the glass to be sure and thickness of the 2 pane unit, typically 1/2" for larger fixed or sliders. Two 1/8" panes of glass and a 1/4" spacer. Smaller crank out windows may only be 7/16" total. Two 1/8" panes of glass and a 3/16" spacer.

Maybe I'm slow but it took longer than a few hours per window for me. I did have to remove the whole window unit, separate the 2 halves then reseal both halves. It's definitely a DIY project if you're willing to do the work. The first one is always the hardest.

I did our 99, 7 years ago. As stated , took a couple hours for the first one and then two each day till I finish all 8 of them. I use a product call edgeteck super spacer from CLLawrence and order the products from dkhardware.com

The number for the sealant is 877
The edgetech super spacer is 1/4x3/16 66 foot roll and most RVs but very easy to tell the thickness. SS1431666BL

No pictures but there are many here that I sent them to. Hard drive crash so lost them. PM me if you need help , If a DIY very easy to do. Maybe $70 for one window and then $10 for sealant more per windows till you use up 66 foot of spacer.

When the factory seal fails, water will permeate the area between the two panes and reduce visibility. If the window has not mineral etched (fogged), it is repairable. The seal needs to be repaired or the water will return. No special gasses are used in the assembly of RV dual pane windows.
Adhesive foam spacers, infused with a desiccant, are available on the internet in various thickness to match your needs. I use 3M Windo-weld urethane (pt.# 08609) to reform the seal. A good handy knife, razor blades and lots of cleaning are required.

I do mine myself. Takes about 2 lazy hours. You can get some idea how it's done on older double paned windows here (this is at my RV travel and repair blog site): Repairing Double Paned Window Leaks

These days, they're not made as mine were so it might be quite a bit different procedure for your newer windows...but perhaps the article will give you some idea where to begin or what's involved.

If you're a DIY'er you might come up with your own procedure. If you do, I'd encourage you to post pics for us.

Windshield had double pain and fogged? I had no idea some had double pain on the front.

Dave Root sells a kit, don't have link but you can google it. I bought the stuff needed from CR Laurence. Pretty sure it's the same stuff as in the Dave Root kit, minus a video, for less than half the cost.

If you're refering to a double pane window that has fogged up between the panes, then they are repairable. The top 3 places that fix them are in Florida, Arkansas, and Oregon. Many people also do it themselves - worth a try if you have the ambition, time, and energy...
