Have rooftop wiineguard roadtrip 1235s that will not lock on to satellite. Direct tv tells me that it is to old to find the satellite? Anybody out there using this model for tv reception and if so how did you enable it to find satellite ? Thanks for any help you can give.

Select choice #1 for antenna type. This will be the single LNB option. If you still have the SWM power supply connected nothing is going to work as the receiver will set itself to unusable SWM multiswitch.
Dish will likely not work at all with an antenna that old.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.

Does not appear to be an 18" round setting on my dish. gives me a couple of choices but not 18" round. Any other suggestions or do you think the dish network might be a better option?

Thank You for your expertise.

You CANNOT use the SWiM power inserter on use any SWM settings in the receiver setup. Once you change the settings to 18" round and multiswitch (not SWM) then you should be able to get the antenna to lock on.

Receiver is Model HR24-500. There is a SWIM in line . Antenna does work but not for direct tv.

So, assuming you are trying to use a basic receiver and not a Genie or an H-25 (neither is compatible) then you will need to go into the receiver settings, Repeat Satellite Setup, and ensure the antenna type is set to 18" round and the switch type is set to Multiswitch (SWM is also not compatible).
You did not answer if the antenna has ever worked for you.

Has this antenna ever worked for you? Are you sure it is set for DirecTV and not Dish Network?
