Winnebago making a new factory for "B" upfitting

This is from markopolo on the class B forum (making sure to give credit where credit is due.):

Link here.

The article also states that Winnebago is going to have the Lake Mills leased property ramped up for full production by early February for Travatos.

Interesting times ahead. A new van platform, a big company doubling-down on upfitting them, and new RV makers coming in just to upfit this.

JMHO, if it adds a lot of new "B"s to the road, good. It would allow more used ones to be available at a relatively sane price.
  • I love, absolutely LOVE anything that will increase the selection of used Class B's when we are too old and creaky to fulltime anymore, but still want something to get us on the road for a month or two a year.
  • Don't know if it's just for Travatos. I bet not. I bet they move all the "B" production over there. The current Charles City plant is just too small for anything else and too far away from the home base in Forest City
