Woman dies in MH accident at Flying J

There must be more to this story. Did the MH driver pass out or was he just a bad driver? Maybe too old to be driving? How fast was he going to do that much damage?

I find absolute no problem with the writing of the story. I think I'm a good writer - got A's in English, anyway. 🙂

If the woman killed was directing him where to park I wonder if it was his wife.

Now...what did I write that was wrong?

Something tells me the woman that was hit was a passenger of the RV. Maybe the drivers wife?! Who knows. What's important is to recognize that someone died tragically on a holiday.

Let's drop the ripping of the reporter and focus on the important facts!

Then again, maybe he was too young to be driving a big MH...no experience, no training, not used to driving long distances, distracted by young kids, speeding, etc.

Police say an RV driver hit a pedestrian, a gas pump, and two vehicles. The pedestrian died on scene.

Eye witnesses stated women (pedestrian) was directing RV to park when RV ran over her.
Just saying. You don't see many pedestrian's hanging around the RV fuel lane to help direct a RV to a parking spot. :R

I have fueled up at many Flying J RV Islands and have yet seen any pedestrians there that wasn't with a RV.

Waiting for the rest of the story to come out. :S

They all start somewhere. None of them were born experienced professional reporters.

Local reports say the driver was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Hopefully they will do a follow up story. Could have been a heart attack or stroke.

Tragic accident.
I frequent RV junk yards and always read available accidents reports.
It does not take much to do such big damage to a coach build with plywood and if there is any metal frame in it, it does not show.

Talk about bad reporting...:S. The writer seemed more interested in doing a human interest piece than reporting that some unfortunate person was killed...sad day indeed. From reading the later pieces it appears the woman was guiding the driver to park when she was struck. More news should come later unless the news continues to feel the woman's death wasn't very important....Dennis

I'd imagine that the regular reporters had the weekend off and were with their families, so the writer of this story was a fresh out of college English major.

No it very clearly said the deceased was NOT the driver of the RV but a pedestrian.

One of the strange things about the article is that it actually makes no mention at all of the RV's driver. Not one word.
