I asked on the group site about how to get a new person to sign up, mentioning that you had tried to contact the group leader as I think he has to approve new members and had not gotten a reply. The reply I got was a member saying he thought that yahoo may be getting ready to drop the groups. Another reply suggested going to facebook & creating an Xplorer site there. I and another member said no as we do not do facebook or any other social media.

SO, I can't help you join. It sounds like you solved the source of your leak. Now just figure out a way to replace or repair that drip tray.

I found out that the unit drains normally through the back like most window ac units. My ac is installed on the floor and the condensor is exposed to the outide where it drains. Unfortunately, i discovered that the evaporator drip tray is rusted through and is leaking condensate onto the rug underneath the unit. Ill try and remove the unit and repair it because the duct work attached to it is custom made for that unit. Or, find a used unit exactly like it. Its a Fedders. They are defunct.I can't read the model number or the size of BTUs because the identification plate is covered by the custom duct work. Since Fedders is out of business I may have a problem fixing this.

I just purchased a 1997 Xplorer Mur-van. It has side mounted AC at floor level. The air conditioner works great and is ducted. The problem is after a while water started overflowing onto the carpet from the condensate. As the air conditioner was running I did not see any condensate dripping to the ground so something is plugged or blocked somewhere . I've looked under the chassis and I've yet to find a drain hose. Since the air conditioner is on the side maybe it drains towards the outside of the van and onto the running board, just guessing.
I'll try and attach a picture.

There is a lot of info on their site with photos, etc. Sometimes months go by without much activity. Most threads are about something specific.
