I've made Buckboard bacon from pork shoulder that turned out good but the wife is on a diet and bacon is out, turkey bacon is ok. Has anyone used Buckboard with turkey? I've learned the taste is different between shoulder and loin. Loin turns out to taste more like ham.. Thanks
Jerry..

It looks like home cure turkey bacon isn't very popular around here but if I have guided someone to BuckBoard bacon I feel not all was in vain.. I will have to try curing a turkey breast on my own and if it turns out I'll post the results. Thanks for your replies..

Bacon fried in butter!

Nothing to add to that, but yum, and please pass the Lipitor

It's not my recipe but a cure sold by Hi-Mountain. I get mine at Bass Pro but you could probably get it on line. I cure mine for about three weeks instead of the ten days and smoke it lightly with hickory. I trim the meat so I need to add a little butter to fry it. Pretty good stuff...
