DOGs: Palmetto Island State Park, LA

We were there the first weekend of Feb. the free (donations welcome) lunch was nice, there were probably a couple of hundred people there and plenty of food, a few people were even able to go back for seconds. Nice little state park camp ground, don't forget the OFF as it is in a swamp so the blood loss from mosquitoes can be an issue, only other down side is the roads from hell to get there.

PS if you go for the cooking demonstration bring your own bag chair, and beverage (they have water and tea, but the line to get it can be long) there is limited seating around the pavilions
