Favorite foods to make bulk and freeze for the road?

I’m a sucker for tomato-based sauces and Italian food in general so in my case I make Marinara sauce to my taste, then freeze it in single serving ‘sauce-cicles’. If I’m travelling solo (as I usually am) one makes a meal, otherwise one per person. To that I add whatever pasta, rice, potato I want any any meat that’s convenient.

It’s surprisingly good over a crumbled burger patty & fries, rice & meatballs (premodern at home also), a ham steak & boiled patties, etc, etc, the list goes on forever.

Best of all, however I want to serve it, I can have a home-cooked (literally) meal in 15 minutes while on the road.

Great idea! I’ve never made homemade marinara or spaghetti sauce.

Update: I opted for the Instapot Duo Crisp, which comes with an Air Fryer lid, and so far, have made Chili, Beef Stew, Goulash, and Cabbage Rolls... a flat of locally grown strawberries also included for something sweet... Also found the Instapot will fit within my sinks, so, there's the option of taking it along when on the road. Probably not necessary, considering the amount of food I've made, and filled my Dometic 75DZ with - about a month's worth of prepared foods, not including what the MH's fridge/freezer will hold... I think I've got this pretty well organized, and appreciate everyone's help and suggestions.

Though one doesn't really NEED the Instapot for most of these things, it does make the process easier, and takes much less time. And while I reluctantly committed to cleaning up my home kitchen, I'm much less desirous of this when on the road. If I can keep the ice cream from softening or melting, I'm good to go!

Surgtech94....In a pot on the stove, I put a can of drained corn, 1/2 can of drained, rinsed black beans (we don't like the burrito to taste too beany), the shredded pork, and Rotel (tomatoes with green chilies). Sometimes I also put in green enchilada sauce. But you don't want it too soupy. Stir together and warm.

Place tortilla on plate and spoon in a bunch of the pork mixture. Fold as burrito. Top with sour cream and salsa...can add avocado, shredded cheese, etc. as desired.

Very simple and surprisingly delicious!

When we go to Nat'l parks we pack a lunch each day. Before leaving home, I go to our local meat market and get turkey, roast beef, cheese, ham etc. for sandwiches.
We put one sandwich "fixing" in zip lock bags, mark them with our name and freeze. When we make sandwiches before heading out hiking we put the sandwiches together. The frozen part helps keep everything cold.
