How many of you are cooking with the NuWave

We just bought one of the NuWave cook tops. It's their newer model called NuWave Gold. One of the main reasons we decided on it is the keep the temperature down inside the m/h. It only heats the skillet/pan/pot/etc. It gets pretty good reviews on-line and it looks like the majority of the bad reviews is due to not knowing how to use the controls.

Anyone else using one or any other portable induction cooktop AND what do you think about it (good or bad)?

We cook with the nuwave pro and just bought more pans for our home. We have a set of stainless steel I bought at Walmart for under $50.for the RV.. They nest great and store in a drawer no need to to take care like with the no-stick type. Jus make sure a magnet will stick to the bottom of the pan and you should be able to use with induction cooktops. Whether portable or built in.

We were aware of the induction compatible cookware so we ordered the cookware with it. It only cost the $29 shipping. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cookware. Haven't used ours yet but I stuck a pan on it in the house and was amazed that the surface of the pan was too hot to touch in a matter of about 3 to 4 seconds. I think we will like ours.

Liked it so much bought another one for the house. Some SS pans are magnetic so test with a magnet before deciding they will not work. Guess you could put the pan on and see if it heats water.

We have the cook top from Camping World in the coach, why use our gas when we can cook with there electric. When at home we use the Nuwave cook top, have not used the gas stove in a long time, just the oven.

We like ours a lot. Remember the pans that you use on them are different. They must be induction compatible. A simple magnet test will USUALLY tell you if your current cookware will work. Aluminum and glass pans will not. It's nice to be able to boil things and pick up the pan without potholders..much less time needed to heat things too......Dennis

My sister has one and LOVES it. She takes it with her when she visits family so she an cook bacon quickly. She brought it to our camper last weekend and fixed pork chops (w/spicy Shake and Bake) and they were yummy. Plump, juicy and with just a hint of spice.

I may look into purchasing one, but we'll see.

We have a couple of the portable NuWave units. We like how well they heat up and maintain the correct heat. Easy clean up.

We have two in the m/h. We bought them specifically for that and we love them. I usually take them ouside and put them on the table to cook breakfast. Easy to clean the pans that came with it. Wipe everything down and put it away.

We have 2 of them in the coach but can't recall the brand. Purchased a NuWave last fall but it didn't work so we sent it back. The wife loves the ones we have. Personally I've been thinking about taking out the stove and oven, having that just converted into another cupboard and installing a drop in unit.

The DW loves it and during the hotter months, it sure helps to keep the heat down in the Kitchen.
We also have an induction stove at home so she was used to it in our stick house.

I've been using one everyday for two months now and like it a lot. Sure saves on propane! I have the two skillets and big pan that came with it. The skillets are amazing, everything just wipes out with a paper towel, no matter how burned on it is. Takes some getting used to, I found I was always setting the temp too high. Our main cookware set wont work with it, so I guess its time for a few new pots. Also our electric skillet will be staying home next trip.
