Instead of the plastic jerky gun (I didn't like how flimsy it seemed), I picked up this heavier duty aluminum jerky gun.
It's much sturdier for my purposes and makes it possible to create larger batches of jerky without refilling. I keep my jerky recipes simple so I can taste the meat. Salt and pepper with a small amount of garlic or a dash of Worcestershire. No sugar.
