July 4th Dutch Oven Menu

Our big Family 4th of July Gathering is already being planned.

In addition to the dutch oven bacon wrapped pork loin roast, wilted spinach salad (with bacon of course), we're having various pot luck dishes brought by family. Also I'll be making Bacon Cheese Pull Aparts in the dutch ovens. Haven't done these before but the recipe is simple enough.

You can tell there's no vegetarians in our family. If one ever marries into the clan I'll have to come up with some vegetarian options for them. What's on your 4th menu?

    This year we're letting the youngest family members make sandwiches on the campfire using pie irons as dessert or snacks. We have to train that next generation of Cast Iron Chefs.:W

    I'm glad it inspires your inner Cast Iron Chef. I usually cruise Dutch oven cooking sites. When I'm bored. Or want something different for an upcoming event. Or I've been asked to demo DO cooking. Or.....
