My grind and brew CUISINART DGB-600BC takes right at five minutes of 120VAC run time to brew up a 10-cup karafe of hot fresh coffee made from fresh ground beans... Using the same brand bottled water each time gives us the taste we like no matter where we are located.. We use the EIGHT O'CLOCK Colombian Peaks coffee beans available from the WALMART stores.
The karafe is a thermos type which keeps the coffee hot for many hours...
The five minutes is the only time this coffee maker is pulling power from my 2KW generator when camping off the power grid...
I do the same 5-minute run time once it starts perking using the propane stovetop and COLEMAN Camp style percolator for the back-up method for making fresh coffee. I use a Mr Coffee 120VAC Coffee grinder running from my Power Inverter to grind up the coffee... After the coffee is perked I will pour it up into my Cuisinart Thermos Karafe
Its not exactly the same taste we enjoy from using the CUISINART Coffee maker but pretty darn close.
Here again using the same brand bottled water is probably the real trick to get the same coffee taste all the time...
