Does anyone find anything worth watching on Prime. I am on the fence to get it for the shipping but looking thru all the Prime content I would really have to be desperate to sit down and watch 99.9% of the content I can find on the service. Am I missing something?

I admit I haven't read all of the replys and I am probably not the first to say you can do a 30 day free trial before you decide.

I have become slightly hooked on Prime shipping. It is, at $100 per year, a little expensive but the convenience of buying some, hard to find, items on line without having to leave home and getting them delivered in two days is nice. I may also add that if you get an item you decide you don't want or need you can return free.

Haven't seen any commercials using Netflix streaming. Quite honestly, I'd put up with them if all movies were available in HD as part of the membership. Want to get everything commercial free? Prepare to pony up some cash.

Hulu is the only streaming service I'm aware of that has repeated commercials. And you can pay extra to avoid those if you wish.

I have both 4K UHD Netflix and Amazon Prime. There are some movies on Amazon Prime like Interstellar that are not on Netflix. I use Amazon Prime mostly for the two day shipping so if I order something on Friday I get it delivered by the USPS on Sunday.

I have to say I purchased a Voice command Fire TV setup for my wife for Christmas(have had Prime for quite some time)....now while I agree that the offerings on Prime TV may not be the same as NetFlix, the ability to use voice command for Music is a hoot..... I tell it, "Play the Door's" and there it is and with a 5.1 surround on the TV, it actually sounds half way decent too. Still exploring other features of Prime but I like it.

Strange Days have found us!

We had Netflix for a few months. Dropped it, bought a Roku and picked up Prime. My wife enjoys watching stuff more than I do; I am enjoying the free 2 day shipping.

For me, worth it for the music. Over a million songs, and I can play them all through my stereo system using a Fire TV, or Fire stick with voice remote. I just say, play the Beatles, etc., and in a couple seconds the Beatles are playing.
Amazon has some great produced TV series, like Bosch, Narco, etc. add the free shipping, and it's a great deal for us. omv

The Man in the High Castle

Yes, and Bosch. Both great shows. Old Andy Griffith shows, Deadwood, Chears. Many other oldies. Lot of stand up comedy that will keep you in stitches.

I find Prime a must-have. The ability to read books at no cost, and free shipping make it worth it. I've more than made up the cost of Prime by shipping charges that I didn't have to pay.

There's one advantage to PRIME that Netflix / Hoolie don't offer and that is DOWNLOADS.

If you install the Amazon Instant Video app on your android or apple device, you can download full size HD quality video to it, for watching offline.

This was a great feature while I was traveling in Utah. Head into town to do laundry / eat dinner, and I could download a movie or two for watching back at the campground which did not have cell service.

Of course, your mobile device needs to support video output, either Miracast or HDMI out (my LG G2 phone has an hdmi port.

From what I have seen on Prime, renting or buying is exactly what they are trying to get you to do.
Even shows like old HGTV stuff are pay.
