An easy way to have your RV info at hand at all times.

I'm using Gmail, I don't know if others have the same feature.

In your Gmail contacts, over on the right side when you open one up is a huge "storage" area. It's not labeled, is just sits there, so you may have just ignored it.

I made a contact named FLEETWOOD MH 39S EXCURSION

Cat did not spec a belt for this engine because they don't know what accessories the chassis mfg might have installed. They probably have a cross belt to the Freightliner one though.

Note on filters - Cat will not tell you what their micron rating is. They don't want you cross referencing them.....

The stored info literally goes on for pages and pages of info on info and part numbers for the windshield wipers, water pump, water filters, hub seals, batteries to include dates installed, make and model of the Xantrex invertor / charger, etc, etc, etc.

You can store anything and everything in there and the best part is you usually aren't far from your cell phone.

You can do the same thing for everything. I have a contact labeled TRAILERS which has the make, model, year, and license plate numbers for all of my trailers - dump trailer, snowmachine trailer, 2whl trailer, 4whl trailer and so on. The Nash TT gets it's own separate listing so it has all of the P/Ns and info like the MH does.

There's no reason to not have the info on hand.

It's about what works quickest and easiest for someone. I like Google Keep for stuff like this.

Yes, Google drive works very well also. You can set Drive so that if you put info in on one of your devices, it will sync across your desk top, laptop, tablet or phone. I tend to find info quicker on my phone, but Drive is great for PDFs, manuals, drawings, pictures, etc.

This thread is puzzling. If you are aware of Google Drive, you must be aware of Google Docs that is a much simpler method of creating documents with information you want to be available on all your devices than using a data field within a contact as jjjandrbaker points out.

If you are not aware: In Google Drive's My Drive, click on New and Google Docs. Enter text, insert images, create tables or numbered lists, etc. The equivalent of MS Word only free. One of my regular uses (among many others) is for a grocery list.

For years, I’ve kept everything from receipts to owners’ manuals, medical data to route planning in Evernote.

Yes, Google Drive and also Microsoft One Drive. With laptop or smartphone, both Google Drive and Microsoft One Drive are easily accessed. I keep copies of receipts, pdf repair/service manuals, diagrams, pics, etc. on Microsoft One Drive.

+1, including all maintenance manuals and maintenance/repair invoices. All of our medical records are there as well.

Yah,I use Evernote too...
The free version as I only need access for 2 devices... laptop and phone...

Just found out about it, like it... and use it for all notes now, instead of the little Yellow Stickies..

+1, including all maintenance manuals and maintenance/repair invoices. All of our medical records are there as well.

I use Evernote for all the vin & part number stuff and Simple Text Widget to store my plate #'s on one of my phone desk top screens no fumbling during check-in.
