Anyone using Cosumer Cellular?

I'm currently a Verizon customer and satisfied with coverage. However, I'm looking into other providers with the intention of possibly lowering cost since I'm on a fixed income.

Right now I'm focused on Consumer Cellular, but willing to entertain thoughts on other companies. Thank you in advance for your input.

I have a 5gig Verizon plan with rollover of unused data for one month. It is called the Verizon Plan Single Smartphone 5 GB plan. The cost is $40/month and with a $6 military discount comes to $34/month.

This month I have 4.94 gig of data carryover for a total of 9.94 gig of data for April if I want to use it. I am on WiFi most of the time while at home so don't use much data. I do use a lot of it while traveling or up at our rig in the summertime though.

Hi, Old Biscuit. I agree with you that Verizon has good coverage. Since I posted this thread, I changed to a prepaid plan, which brought my monthly cost down to $30.00. Didn't include much data usage, but I rarely use my phone on the Internet, so I'm happy. For $10 more per month I could add more data if I wanted to.

We used Verizon for many years and when FTng it had the best overall coverage nationwide

Now in a S&B and not worried about overall coverage
2 yrs ago went with Consumer Cellar....kept same phone numbers and only costs $42/month for both phones

Verizon was over a $100/month for both phones
Is it time for your medication or mine?

The wife is on Consumer Cellular. Great company to deal with. Over the years they have added or expanded features on her phone, with no additional fees. CC uses AT&T for its' back bone.
