From what I read, it works with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and the iPhone 5s. There are many Android models out there.
If it works well with Android stuff, and this can be done, fine... my Microsoft SYNC head on my F-150 works well with Android and iOS, with every model of phone I've thrown at it. However, I have a feeling Apple will go the route of only their devices will work with it at all, or if Android devices are even allowed to communicate, it will be a ridiculously limited feature set. If this is the case, I rather just have a generic Bluetooth head that can handle MP3 playback and hands-free calling.
Of course, people are saying that car makers better line up to get CarPlay, or line up for a government bailout... Alpine and other stereo makers better up their game or else they won't be around.
