AT&T Cellphone AMP for 3G

The wife and I have 3G flip phones and sometimes we get no service and then move around a bit and get a weak signal.
Is there any AMP that will boost for us? 12V or 120V, it doesn't matter. will use it at Home and RV.
If you can help, fine but we aren't going to upgrade to 4-5G at our age.
I no longer buy green bananas.:D

I have a WILSON amp that MIGHT work.. (not sure since my phone is multi-G)

Not sure if the more modern 4-G boosters will work either.. I will likely get one of those soon.

NOTE: if you are in S.E. Ga... Removing my Wilson amp would not take me 30 minutes and then it's your Wilson Amp.

Thanks for the kind offer but I think we better upgrade.

The Smithsonian may be wanting to get in touch with you. They are always looking for past outdated items. :)

I've already donated my Abacus and sundial.:B
I guess we update the phones. At least my Mavica MVC-FD73 still works fine.

A newer flip phone with LTE would probably help a lot also. You are missing a lot of signal bands with an old 3G only phone.
  • look for older models on ebay or amazon
they always list the BANDS covered by the amp

the cradles are the least expensive, but the PHONE must set in the cradle and you use speaker phone mode on the phone

if you want to hold the phone, then you need the small office one/two room type
    approx 300-400 dollars

if you want more coverage the price goes up

i have a wilson sleek cradle model
  • Hi Horizon,

The problem is 3G. The towers are being repurposed for LTE. Where I live 3 G has been totally discontinued.
