Have Chrome. When using Google search and I select a link and go then back to search again it always sends me to the top of the search engine. Would like it to back to where I selected the link. Seems like nit picking problem but sure gets aggravating when doing lots of searching. Any way to fix it?

You can also press the scroll wheel. When you press the scroll wheel on the mouse it is the same as right clicking then selecting open in new tab.

Thanks guys! It was so simple even a caveman could do it. (guess I am not as smart as the caveman)

on edit: the control key even works on RV.net links! (which is the only forum I belong to that doesn't automaticly open new links in its own tab)

Or just hold down the CTRL key and click a search link which will open in a new tab.

While on the Google page, click the gear icon on the top right of the page, and choose 'search settings'.

On the search settings page, put a check in front of 'Open each selected result in a new browser window'.

This opens the search result in a new tab, and leaves the search result page at the link you selected.

After viewing the search result page, you can close that tab, and you'll be back to the google search results page, at the last link you clicked.

I don't use crome but can you right click and then open in a new tab? Then your search results would still be there.
