Back up camera system

I have just upgraded from a 1999 Class B Pleasure Way (it's for sale if anyone is interested!)to a 2002 Coachmen Catalina Sport. It's only 2 ft. longer, but wider and taller and I really need help with parking and reversing. I thought a back up camera would help. I found this one:
7" COLOR REAR VIEW BACKUP CAMERA SYSTEM SAFETY CAR PICKUP TRUCK RV LICENSE FRAME 180° CCD CAMERA + 2 CHAN + INFRARED NIGHT VISION
on EBay for $230. The camera is in the license plate. Any advice or recommendations would be really appreciated.

  • I would get the type of camera that mounts higher up on the back. It will give you a better overall view.
  • Appears to be a decent setup. Read all the specs. & options on it. It comes with one camera, but can be expanded to two, for extra $. Several other camera mounts are also available, aside from the license plate frame mount. Instructions indicate you can hot wire it to the ignition system or the reverse backup light circuit. Another option to that, is to connect to your headlight system, the camera would be on when the headlights are on only, rather than the ignition system method that has the camera on constantly, which I deam unnecessary & can still be used during daylight hours if you wish, like seeing behind the rig driving down the highway.
