- rk911Explorerdon't color me with that brush. I was on Win98 and purposely avoided Vista and whatever else came before XP. I never upgrade OS...I always buy a new PC and when XP was delivered and I saw it on my PC and work I fell in deep, deep like with it and the rest is history. I still have a desktop and laptop running XP for very specific applications and likely will keep both up and running until the magic smoke runs out.
- 8ironExplorerThose that hated it only had to see the later Windows versions to realize it wasn't so bad.
- Horizon170ExplorerOne of my laptops is running Vista, one XP, one NT and one Win. 7
Desktop is XP also.
EDIT to add---------Oooppppsssss two laptops running XP. - Tom_NExplorerI stayed with DOS for a few years after Windows was introduced.
I still keep my checkbook in CHEX. CHEX is a DOS pgm and runs in a DOS window in XP. But alas, Win7, 8 and 8.1 will not run a DOS pgm. Even with the emulator.
I need a good Windows checkbook pgm. No, not Quicken. - AllegroDNomadI liked XP.

- rockhillmanorExplorerThey have reported that all the big business, banks and the like running XP need not worry because they will continue to service them indefinitely.
If they are going to service all those XP computers you sure as heck know that all the info used to keep those running WILL leak out to the rest us by some genius hacker geek! - fj12ryderExplorer III

Have you tried MS Money? It an excellent checkbook program. Nothing really fancy, just a good program.

Personally I loved XP when it came out. But then I'm always attracted to new shiny things. :)
