Block calls? Sprint phone

Does anyone know how to block a phone number from coming in?

Sprint service, Samsung standard phone. I have two numbers that keep ringing me, but then never answer or leave a message. Just a blank.

I looks the numbers up on the web, and lots of people say they get it too, and some say it's a telemarketer ... One says it's UCLA alumni, but UCLA denies it.

SO, I want to block them, but can't find my booklet, and none of the options show it.

With a standard phone you can call Sprint. There is supposed to be a way but frankly i do not know it.

IF it is an advertising call. And you can identify the caller, Read US Code, Title 47 Section 227.. I think the language you wish is in section b.

I use Mr. Number on Android. This app has proven itself quite useful for actively blocking calls, but also blocking known robodialers, spammers, telemarketers, and other annoyances because it looks up the number before passing it through.

For iOS, you can make a contact and block it, but Apple's blocking mechanisms are rudimentary at best -- I shouldn't have to clutter my contacts with that. When another jailbreak comes around, I highly recommend iBlacklist which does a good job, especially with the pick up and hangup option (which gets the robodialers to get a person on the line, wasting their time.)

+1 on Blacklist. I have been using it for a while now and it works great. We are on Verizon and there is a way you can block a few numbers, but you have to renew the block periodically. With Blacklist, I just pull up the number from the call log, tell it to block and it is done unless I take it back off.

Before Blacklist, I did the contact with a silent ring method. I always started the name with 2 z's so that it would always be at the very end of my contact list so I didn't have to scroll through it.

You can block them by logging into your Sprint Account and adding the numbers to the blocked list.
1. Log in to your Sprint Account
2. Go to the "My Preferences" tab
3. Scroll down the page, right hand column look for "Block Voice" and click on it.
4. Choose the phone you want to block the numbers on
5. Choose "Block only the following phone numbers for inbound and outbound calls"
6. Enter the number in the box, choose "add number"
You should see move into the Blocked Numbers area,
7. Select "Save" at the bottom of the page.
You can have up to 50 numbers in the blocked list.

I have 2 numbers that call me and when I try to call them back a recording says "You have reached a non-working number" I wouldn't mind as much if they didn't call in the middle of the night.

Anyone know how to stop this?

If nothing else works, just save the numbers as contacts and assign a silent ring to them.
