Camping World not refunded money

We purchased a $700+ mattress from Camping World that ended up being defective. The mattress was returned and arrived at the Warehouse on July 16th, and we still have not been credited for the purchase, even though I keep being told we were refunded and we would see it within the next few days. I realize it takes time to process these things but it has been 26 days. On one call I made to ask about the status of my return, the rep laughed and said are you waiting on your refund? Another was completely incompetent and brought up 3 different orders that were not mine - I asked to speak to his manager multiple times but he would not let me. Another was a comedian and continually made jokes. Yes, I have called multiple times with the same response. Our ticket is closed and my account will be credited in 3-5 days. I have asked to speak to someone who can actually help but I have been told each time there is no one else to talk to, other than the rep you get on the phone....Help!

Update: (Short as possible) A few days after posting here, I called CW again to check the status of my refund. Ended up being told they could send me a check and over night it to me - I told them that was fine. The next day I got a message on my voicemail saying they had processed my refund and it would be credited to my account within a couple of days...and in fact this time it actually was refunded to my account!!!!

Don't believe what they tell you, bc hill. I have been owed a refund for close to three months on product and shipping that was never shipped to me. I was promised a refund on this forum from the Good Sam Care Team, but never received it.

I persisted and persisted on here. They took care of me by blocking my previous username.

Thanks for the info, I did not realize to contact my bank. Iwould not even think about doing business with CW at this point.

I too would strongly suggest you contact your bank tomorrow and explain what's going on and ask for their help. You might be surprised. We've seen too many of these kind of stories about Camping World and will never do business with them, no matter what the price. Chuck

the bank should also credit that (debit card transaction). At least mine does for me. Hopefully you got a receipt on your return for the merchandize.

Unfortunately, no, debit from checking. I've never had a problem like this before. Valuable lesson learned, really disappointed in Camping World's customer service.

X2 on this one. The bank will "credit" and investigate for you if you used a credit card. Fingers crossed. On a side note: I bet that's the last time you do business with CW.
