Can I watch DVR without tailgator hooked up?
Heading out on a trip next week and will spend at least 2 nights on the road. Can I watch pre recorded programs on Dish Network/211z/with ext. hard drive, without the tailgater hooked up?

- Agree; yes. Even when you're not locked on a satellite the message states you can watch dvr recordings.

- Don't know about the Dish DVR, but the Motorola model most Cable-Co's use has to be talking to the Cable-Co to know what is on the DVR
