Cell Phone question??

This week while camping, I was able to have cell service while outside my trailer but absolutely nothing while inside. The trailer has metal siding which I suspect might be causing this.. I even have no service next to a window (covered with window tint film).. Is there something available to bring the cell signal inside the trailer? Either portable or permanent? Thanks

Formerly Wilson Electronics now Weboost has many different products that would solve the problem. Call them to see what works best for you.

RF antenna de-coupling by metal structures... even being outside..

for years a cell phone would not work inside my 2 store house.. aluminum sided.

that link sez it works on a 53 ft RV. if you have a 54 foot one I guess you are out of luck.

As Gord said, 25-35 feet from the omni inside antenna. Realistically, the RV walls do attenuate that somewhat for outside the RV coverage, but we still get good signals while sitting outside under our awning or walking around the perimeter of the coach. When we were at one campground with really poor cell signals, the host couple on the next site would come over and stand in front of our coach (by invitation) to make phone calls.

Means you have 25 to 35 feet coverage from Omni directional interior antenna. You do not have to stand within like 1 or 2 feet like the others on the market.

I have one of these WILSON SLEEK CRADLEs setup that I use in my truck and also inside my POPUP trailer... This is an older unit so doesn't support the high end cell phone bands...

I got this to use with my VERIZON MIFI unit which allows me to sit the MIFI unit in the holder and it connects to the outside via an external antenna... The back part of the cradle base is a passive antenna that would be sitting next to whatever you have sitting in the cradle.

This passive antenna also produces a small cell phone inside antenna zone doing this...

Helps with my cell phone usage inside my trailer or inside my truck which is totally metal enclosed...

A WILSON TYPE Amplifier designed especially for giving you a repeater type cell phone signal would be the better thing to have... Just passing this CRADLE info on as it does help somewhat inside you trailer or truck. Reall works great if you have your cellphone placed in the cradle right up against the passive antenna in the back of the cradle holder.

You will want to get something that supports 2G-3G-4G cellphone operations...
