Cheap way to get SiriusXM

If you are able to get to the antenna input on the radio, you could install one of these. It automatically switches the antenna from over the air to the SiriusXM signal. I do not have one of these. Maybe someone with one installed can comment.

Never,never,never,pay more than 80 per year,just say cancel,reason,I can't afford it,then they send you to another person,the last year they have a special for 5 months for 25$',I beleive,at the end of 5 months,cancel it,usually they will renew it right away,but once in awhile they say no,so again cancel it and within a month you will get a letter or a email with the special price,been doing this for over 3 years,hope I didn't screw myself with this information

Generally speaking, "Cheap" and SiriusXM are mutually exclusive terms as the service itself is not "cheap".

That said, we currently have SiriusXM receivers in one vehicle (had another but sold that car) and a Sirius Sportster 5, that I move between another vehicle, the house, and the RV using various docking adapters. Any number of SiriusXM "Dock and Play Radios" can be moved from location to location.

I use the Sportster 5 with kits like this, SIRIUS PowerConnect Vehicle Kit. In the RV it is connected to the in-dash radio via an auxiliary input, in our Expedition, which has no auxiliary input, it is connected with an auxiliary output cable which runs through the cassette player with an adapter like this Cassette Tape Adapter.

Similar kits connect the same Sportster 5 to stereo systems in the house, SiriusXM Dock and Play Home Kit AND, it is also used on a Sirius Boombox SiriusXM Portable Speaker Dock

Yes, I was quoted a $75 dollar fee to transfer to another vehicle. That said, I have read of others that say they were told they could only transfer once or not at all. As I said, my nearly 7 year old truck has only 54,000 miles on it and we are not looking at any new RV let alone a larger one so this truck should be my last.

Lifetime isn't really lifetime. I believe you can only transfer the subscription three times (not totally sure on how many times-but it's not unlimited). Moving the radio itself is a good idea but probably not doable. The wiring harnesses can make moving a radio not really possible.

How do you get a hold of this retention specialist, I have Sirius in 4 vehicles which is one too many, mine I can't stand the dj's chatter and the non commercial commercials ( you are listening to commercial free Sirius X-m radio ) that is a commercial. But it was on mine when I bought the vehicle, 6 mo. free trial and the rest of the family fell in love. So if I've got too have it I want it as cheap as possible. I sure hope no one really pays that much. Normal rate is 80ish a year with a little haggling

Have you looked at their earnings? You would be surprised how many people auto renew at the prevailing rates.
