Consumer Cellular Coverage

We will be traveling in the north east United States this summer. We have Samsung S10e cell phones with Consumer Cellular using AT&T sim cards. How likely are we to have coverage in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire? Just looking for feedback from those recently using Consumer Cellular with AT&T sim cards.

Little background - we were full time from 2007 to 2014 using Verizon phones and data traveling all over the United States and Canada. 2014 to present we travel at least 6 months of the year so we are familiar with how unreliable campground wifi is and data limits on our phones works. We agree that Verizon coverage is the best but Consumer Cellular was significantly cheaper.

Be aware, ATT says they have coverage in my home area. They are sketchy on voice, and poor on data as well.
Basically from my experience with all these companies, take their claimed maps and enlarge all the out of service areas somewhat since they all want to appear to have the best coverage. For your trip, you may want to get a second throw away phone (cheap android model) and set it up on Verizon on a pay as you go plan, between the two, you can usually get one to work at least close to where you want to be.

duplicity with VZ is a must if you have to stay connected, otherwise consider it down time. Get the opensignal APP and it will help pinpoint cellular coverage and towers in a particular area as well as some other helpful info.

Apparently cell maps are developed by the marketing groups. They all want to show the best coverage regardless of reality.
