Cost of 411 Call with Verizon
Is there a way to get around the cost of a 411 call. The wife has verizon and she is charged $1.99 per 411 call. Is there another number that she could call and not be charged?

- Either way, Internet acces is $30 on top of whatever service plan you have, and that's not part of the equation is it? The phones are on special and free all the time.

There is Google's 4-1-1 service, there are also apps you can put on the phone such as the White Pages.com app.. These basically turn you into 4-1-1 operator once you get good enough at using them.
Google discontinued their free 411 service in November of 2010. There was also 1-800-BING-411, but that was turned off last year in June as I recall. 1-800-FREE-411 seems to be the best current choice.- Thanks for the info.
