Cost of 411 Call with Verizon
Is there a way to get around the cost of a 411 call. The wife has verizon and she is charged $1.99 per 411 call. Is there another number that she could call and not be charged?

sounds better than sucking it up or dumping $400 into a "smart" phone.

free? of course that $100 a month fee doesn't count.

Thanks for the info. The forum continues to be predictable with valuable information and a taste of sarcasms.
The only DUMB QUESTION is the one that is not asked.

There is Google's 4-1-1 service, there are also apps you can put on the phone such as the White Pages.com app.. These basically turn you into 4-1-1 operator once you get good enough at using them.
