DirectTV activation
I just installed a dish and need to know what number to call to tell DirectTV that i am in, say Tucson. I call the general number, (800) 531-5000, but cannot figure out what to ask for in the voice p...

It can be a very difficult thing to do with DirecTV (easy with Dish Network) but changing locals is possible "assuming" you have the correct kind of antenna. Some areas of the Country have the locals broadcast on 99 and 103 which no dome is capable of receiving so you have 2 issues to deal with. When you call DTV let them know that you already have an antenna installed at the new location and you are receiving a signal you just need them to change the service address but DO NOT change your billing address. Sometimes telling them you are at your Summer home helps or using a similar story. It's not that they don't want to give service to an RV, it's only that there is nothing in the script they are reading that tells them what to do with someone in an RV.
