You can most definitely use an 18" dish for SWM, all you need to add is a SWM8 switch and a PI-29 power inserter. The two output coax from the LNB go to the 13V and 18V terminals of the SWM8 and then one coax cable is connected from the switch to inside your RV where the PI-29 and the receiver would be located. The PI-29 is just connected into the coax line as if it was a feed-through (which, in a way, it is).
I'll let you know. I have an 18" round antenna at home and just ordered an SWM8, Power Inserter, and a pair of 1x4 splitters.
