Dish Network pay as you go service

Okay, so I have my brand new Winegard SK-1000 TRAV'LER dish installed on my MH and functional so I am ready to get some programming! What I want to go with is Dish Network's pay as you go program because it sounds like it is just what we need. Where is the best place for me to go for that service? From my research it looks like there are several places you can call to enroll in Dish pay as you go but I am confused. Where should I call? Is there anything about pay as you go for Dish that I should be aware of as a brand new user? Thanks in advance for your advice!

1. Prices are package dependent. I know that is a "Duh!". Packages. Look at what equipment and services Dutch has.

2. Remember that I only pay 4-5 months a year. My savings is is the 7-8 months I don't use/pay. I pay $180 - $225 a year.

Because of the way we use it, we have not tried Dish Anywhere.

for all you pay-as-you-go customers, how much is your total bill with all the fees taxes? If you have the cheapest package which they advertise has 60 HD channels, what you think of it? Did they make you pay an extra $10 per month for access to HD channels? local channels coming in?

I like the G2 and X1 for the smaller footprints.

the G2 can also be used with Directv (Sd only) and Bell in canada. X1 & X2 dish network only but you get their HD channels

Our Winegard Trav'ler is set up with the western arc currently. We've been able to use it successfully from VA to ND to AZ and AL without too much difficulty. We had a few times when we couldn't "see" the 129 satellite, but not often.

I think both the G2 and X1 are Western Arc (sats 110, 119, 129) only.

Since you're a full timer who could be traveling all over, you might want to consider the Pathway X2 as it can acquire both the Western Arc and Eastern Arc (61.5, 72.7. 77) sats.

I think I did mention the Pathway. I did not mention the G2 as I was specially talking about the 211. If you are going to use a 211/411 series receiver I would recommend the Pathway. If you want more options (including DirecTV) then I would buy the G2.

Also, with home install, I believe you will not get local channels, on the road (if outside your local coverage area). With the Pay-As-You-Go, you can change your service address, but I do not believe you can do that with a home install.
