DISH TV RV Networking Diagrams

I created some DISH TV RV networking diagrams that may be of interest to those just installing or planning to update their DISH RV setup.
  • Just added 2 more networks . . . two ways to install 4 Hoppers in an RV (that's 12 tuners or 11 w/PTAT).

I believe you can get Hopper 1 & 2 through DISH, but I think Hopper 3 & 4 would have to be purchased.

BTW, though the cost of a Hopper (~$230) will set you back, the monthly fee for a Hopper & Joey is the same ($7), so with each Hopper you add, you'll get 3 more tuners while a Joey has 0 tuners. Go figure.

    4 Hoppers - using a Winegard Travler & a Wing dish

    4 Hoppers - using a portable DISH 1000+

While I can't see installing this much stuff, others do. Here's the network diagram and a photo of a poster from Satellite guys.com.
  • Wow, this is excellent info and should be pinned to the top.
Some SAT questions are asked every day.

BTW, I wonder if some of the info might be depended on the type of antenna used?
    For example, I had a 622 with a Carry-Out dome.
I don't think I could use the 'splitter' with it and had to run 2 cables.
Did I really need 2 cables?
