Does Direct TV have a mobile dish?

Here is the deal....I have a B+ Leisure Travel Van, a mountain home in Colorado, and a home base residence in West Texas where I only get over the air free TV. With all the new technology does Dish or Direct TV offer any plans that I might could use in all three places....and is it affordable and how well would it work? At RV parks I've seen some sit beside dishes which seem to be Dish....and am wondering if Direct TV also has something? My dream? That somebody would offer a plan where by I could get satelite TV and possibly Internet at home, at my cabin, and in my RV when I am traveling? What do you think? Is this possible? I would appreciate any thoughts you might have on my dream!

Good luck with that! You may get good information about using the service at home and at your cabin but when you mention RV you will likely get incorrect information or a long period of silence and then someone telling you to call Winegard (don't call Winegard or King Dome or anyone else).
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

This is 100% FALSE! It is perfectly legal for the owner of 2 properties and/or RVs to move the receivers from one home to another.

Both Dish and DirecTV offer plans you can use in both locations. Just make sure you register the account as an RV account. NOt sure exactly how DISH is doign it now days, keep hearing confilcting rumores but with Direc an RV account can subscribe to "Distant Network Service" so you get Network stations out of NYC area or LA or both.. Dish used to offer that and rumor is they are again but you can change your service location with teh DISH APP on your smart phone so you get local, locals, no matter where you are local at the moment.

Affordable: NOT by my standards

What do I watch: Over the air, I have two Serious OTA DVR's and pay 25 a year for an Electronic program guide service,, They work just like all the expensive service DVR's all the "Only our expensive subscription service" features. for 25/year and even that is optional if I wanted to use VCR mode
(TV Guide costs more than the EPG however).

I have a 3rd DVR for overflow.

I have problems finding time to watch it all.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

OP

I'm not aware of any DTV dome for HD reception. Full array dishes on the roof or tripod work great. Also there are reliable reports that DTV no longer installs SD systems (SD TVs work OK but will soon be a footnote in history) and they will not transmit SD after 2019. At that point SD dishes/domes will be history.

We take our DTV home receiver complete with all of the recorded shows in the rig. I call/chat to change the locals as required.

The prior poster is confused about one account with multiple receivers in different locations like relatives houses, RVs etc. That requires multiple accounts. Plus if the locals are changed they will change for ALL receivers which means that only the receivers in the new spot beam will get locals.

I suspect this will fade away with increasing SWM installs restricting Genie and Genie Clients on an account to about 200' separation.

Sorry you are wrong. I have been doing this for years with the assistance of Directv. They helped me with the setup of all three. They even came out to my house in Florida many years ago and set up the dish.

Taking your receivers is exactly what they offer.

How so? Your taking your service (receiver) with you. You are not stealing anything. You are simply using your equipment in a different location

Both Directv and Dish will work. Just get fixed dishes on in Colorado and West Texas and a Winegard Traveler dish for your van. Take your home receivers with you as you travel to each location. Simple and easy. You can also set up separate services in Texas and Colorado and suspend the service(s) for up to 6 months at each location.

You would order sat for your home. Once it is installed and working, you hire a local contractor in CO to instal a dish and run the wires to where you will set the sat receiver. This will cost you around 300 dollars one time charge. As for the MH from the same installer you hire for your CO property you buy a dish/tripod setup. If your not able to do it yourself hire them to setup your RV too. When you move from TX, you grab the equipment put it in your MH and go. When you get to CO take it inside and plug it in. If you really want local channels, give the sat supplier a call and temporairly change your service address.
Depending on your wants service could be as low as 75 and as high as 300 dollars a month.
If you go with Dish a portable dome could double for the MH and CO property.
