Does this file mean ?

Anyone know what this file is -- GUT339C.tmp or GUT14E1.tmp

Having a glitch in PC and trying to locate files I don't recognize.
I did a clean-up and dump history, etc ... but don't know what this file is and don't want to delete it even tho it's a .tmp -- which I think is a temporary file for something anyway??

It sits in Program files (x86) on Windows 10 Pro ... as a free file, not in a program folder. Thanks M44

Each file contains 23,600 KB
  • You can usually google mystery system files and find out what they are, but not in this case. If you are worried just change the file type and reboot. gut14.temp for example. If there are no problems, delete it. But as noted tmp files are designed to be deleted.

.tmp files are temporary files. Generally they can be trashed with prejudice (Shift Delete)
