DVD Player remote is to small

Question

I purchased a small inexpensive Sanyo FWDP175P DVD player for use with the bedroom TV in our trailer... The remote control that came with it is about the size of two matchbooks end to end and is extremely difficult hold on to and use..UGH! The remote for the TV isn't multi functional so I am Looking for user recommendations on inexpensive after market remote that (1) is larger in size and (2) can be programmed to operate the Sanyo DVD player and TV.  I have used Logitec Harmony remotes at home with great success but to buy one of them will cost more than the DVD player for the did..

set up one of your harmonys, and I like them also, to use the DVD player as an "aux" or whatever source so you can use it both places. I would guess that a $9.00 universal remote from wallyworld would also work.
