External tv jack installation

Hello,

For some unknown reason my Coleman camper did not come with an exterior tv jack. There was a full hookup inside I guess just for the antenna but nothing ever comes in. Right now I have to run a tv cable from the site hookup through the microwave vent and into the tv. Is it easy to install and outside tv jack? I tried searching post but could not find anything. Thanks in advance

I always carry a couple of RG cables for TV hookup at the pedestal and use a TV splitter. Run one RG cable to the CABLE hookup and throw the other RG cable under the trailer to use in the outside patio area etc...

If you want to professional install an external setup You can find the external weather tight TYPE F connectors at LOWES or AMAZON to install on the side of your trailer... They have short runs of RG cable, adapters, etc... as well.

You will have to tap into the TV cabling somewhere and install another TV splitter. I'd probably pick the line feeding the bedroom... The simple TV WIRING will look something like this in the typical trailer... You will be on your own figuring out the mass of wiring etx in the big MHs...

If you don't get anything on the antenna, then you may have something else wrong. Installing an outside jack is nothing more than drilling a hole and a couple of screws, and a bit of coax cable. Probably would be a good idea to get someone to check it all out before you start drilling though.
