File Converter Freeware

I want to do a one time comversion of a .MOV file to .MP4.. Has anyone used a Freeware Program that did this without all the added stuff and headaches that normally accompanies Freeware?

X2 on aviDemux.

Works well. I use it on Win 8.1 (and Vista) and with my 'puppy linuxes'
I also use it for basic editing.

You don't give any specifics about what operating system you're using. But if you're running Windows you can use Movie Maker.
