First Order A Disaster

I just placed my first order with Camping World and it will probably be the last. I ordered two products and the order was processed. The next day I get an email saying one of the products is back ordered. NO OTHER INFORMATION. Says nothing about it being available in a week, month or decade. Or if will be shipped ever or if I should order it from someone else. Forget calling customer service, you will go to your deathbed on hold. I tried email and guess what. I get an email saying a "ticket" has been generated. We order lots of things on line and this is ridiculous customer service. I guess I will have to wait and see what shows up and go to my credit card company for the rest. This is no way to do business for a large organization.

    So why did I receive an email saying the item was back ordered? Thanks for looking into it. It seems CW has some work to do or you will be loosing lots of sales. Chuck

    Not that I expect anyone to see this post, but this is the last problem with CW post I intend to read.

    Because their inventory feed from their ERP system to their eCommerce website is hosed. Or they're using a 3PL and the feed is busted, or their ERP system is horked up...


    Sounds like some of IT folk here should offer to swing by CW Corp and lend a hand. You know, kind of like what we did for Healthcare.gov. :)
