Freedom Pop phone

This phone is not for everyone, free cell service.I bought a HTC evo4g phone on Ebay for 47.00 had it activated on freedom pop for 10.00 now have free cell service. Not the best it works on Sprint data net work. This phone works for me, I seldom use the phone. It has to be a Sprint phone. So if you are tech savy and want a cheap service this works.
  • Sprint bought CLEAR which uses WiMax 4G. Their LTE build out is going to take many years to complete. In the DC area, WiMax has the strongest 4G mobile signal at my house. I get virtually no signal from Verizon 4G LTE as I'm not close enough to towers which are placed along I-66. Despite being 10 minutes from the DC Mall.

No service is going to work if you don't have coverage where you intend to use it. Check coverage first before committing to any data plan.
  • If any one looks at there hotspot read carefully some only work on wimax and sprint is moving to ltd.
  • It's a limited voice plan for 200 free minutes per month. You can buy more as needed.

I have a Freedom Pop hotspot that gives 500Mb month free 4G data on Sprint(Clear). I've seen these hotpots for $20.-$30. on Groupon and Newegg.

They now also have 4G LTE hotspots which I believe is on Verizon. But more expensive initially for the hardware.
  • how can that be? there has got to be a catch somewhere. :h
