Have you ever driven across the Dakotas, Montana, and Wyoming on state roads. When you get off of the interstate, you better know how far your gas/diesel is going take you. I had a Toyota MH with a total range of 240 miles, we carried 5 gallons of gas just in case.
I pulled into a gas station in Frankfort, KY thinking that I could drive forward to get out, I ended up having to back out into traffic.
