GPS Questions

Garmin RV760LMT is the one we use... tons of POIs including stations, rest stops, and RV parks. RV specific routing based on size of your rig.

Rand McNally 7700 series is made for RV's with the features you listed plus more.

The Campground data-base in the Rand is better then the one in the Garmin.
That being said, the user interface of the Garmin is better.
Also you can add any one of several Campground POI's to the Garmin.
My choice was the Garmin, the RV-760 is in the process of being discontinued for the RV-660.

The map on the Garmin shows you upcoming fuel-stops, it does not break out Gas vrs Diesel. It shows upcoming Campgrounds.

If you have it set to show the mileage to the next exit, if the next exit is a rest stop it will display that.

You can easily access (voice or manual) the campground, rest-stop or fuel-stop data bases, showing the distances to each.

I know of no way, short an ad-on POI to access diesel stations only.

I got one this summer I love it, has all the features you listed and more got mine from the GPS store on line 299.95 no tax or shipping charge

The best interface, clearest navigation, and most up to date maps seems to be google maps I run it on my iPhone or iPad. If I have cellular service it is my first choice. Without Cellular service, I fall back on the old Garmin Dezl.

For finding fuel stops, rest areas, walmarts, etc. the Trucker's Path App is hard to beat. It also lets you know a little about the truck stops, so you can avoid the rough ones. Again, you must have cell service.

Ive read many good reviews on the Rand McNally system, but haven't had a chance to take a look.

We just bought the 760 instead of the 660 after reading some reviews about the 660 overheating and shutting down due to its metal case

I read reviews that said that too but after I got my 660. I've not had my 660 shut down or act non-normal which included a trip stopping in and through the desert this past summer.
