They are supposed to ground them every 1/4 mile but do not. If they are near your home find out if they are grounded and if not make them do it.
Been there done that fighting the power lines coming on my property. Know WAY more about how dangerous they are than I really care to. :(
Interesting they claim they are safe yet they are NOT allowed to put them near a school or dairy farms. Proof of cluster cancers in school kids and stray voltage killing cows keeps them from erecting them near either yet they say they are perfectly safe by your home. Go figure. :R
You are more exposed to EMFs due to close proximity to all the 120V wiring in your house/RV
Funny how power plant/substaion operators don't have any higher cancer rates than the general public at large
I was around 13KV, 66KV, 220KV and 500KV every working day of my power plant career
