hot spot using ATT?

We are going to oil fields in SW Texas. The only cell service is ATT. Is there a company that sells hotspot for ATT other than ATT? We have Millenicom with both Sprint and Verizon, but neither will work there. Our Consumer Cellular phones use ATT towers, but no internet other than the cell phone. No good for streaming. Any suggestions?

No outlandish overage fees, data rate beyond the 5GB plan is same as for the plan.

I use ATT data services quite a bit in isolated areas where other carriers don't have a presence.

Don't expect streaming video or good VOIP performance, because if the location is so remote that Verizon and Sprint are not even there, it will not have 4G, may not have 3G and Edge is not fast enough for streaming. If it doesn't have Edge (which is 3G by global standards, called 2.5 here although that has no meaning as a standards definition) you will be down to GPRS. That will get you to the Internet, but most web pages today have enough MM content that they will time out trying to load pics or videos, at GPRS speeds and bandwidth.

If you really need Internet, look into a mobile satellite provider. You might have bandwidth issues there, too, if you want to stream video.

We have the AT&T MIFI hot spot $50 a month for 5GB $10 per 1 gig overage charge, no contract bought the hotpsot outright. Also use it at home and it will network your devices at home or on the road such as a wirless printer and laptops and tablets. The data plan is ok unless you use it for a lot of videos then it can get costly. Have never had a problem at home or on the road getting 4G. Seams as fast as the comcast cable I had at home . Not the answer you were looking for but just how AT&T has worked for me.

Unfortunately there are no resellers of AT&T service .
Not sure why that's "unfortunate". Based on my long time AT&T experience they have evolved into a company offering great cell and customer service. I recently dealt with them twice - once to combine 2 accounts and again to bump up my data plan because I need to use my phone as a hot spot for work when we travel. Couldn't have been easier.

What is unfortunate is there not a reseller such as Millenicom that offers a higher data option with no long term contract and outlandish overage fees.

We also have Consumer Cell but we purchased one of their android smart phones and use PDANET+ on it to get internet. We only use it for email, light web browsing and internet banking.
