- Charlie_D_ExplorerNot e-mail related but I am not very computer literate anyway but do you have a pop-up blocker being used. When I started using my new computer I had problems logging into several sites. I would enter user I.D. and password but nothing happened. Looking around on the screen I saw the pop up blocker with a red circle and slanted red bar. Once I clicked in it to allow the pop up my problem went away.

Each time I tried to log on - there is a message asking a code. I follow their instructions, but still there is no code available. What am I doing wrong? 5 attempts to follow the steps required, leads me back to the same request to enter a code! Can you walk me thru a way to log on?
When is the last time you used this account? Hotmail converted to Outlook.com last year. By "code" do you mean your e-mail name and password?
If used recently are you by any chance using a different computer, smart-phone, etc. to access it? If so because of recent changes made to safeguard security Outlook.com thinks someone is hacking your account (in this case you).
It happened to me a week or two ago while on a trip without my own laptop. They are asking you to jump through hoops to get set up on another computer. When I got home and used my own laptop I got on fine. I got an e-mail from them saying someone was trying to get on my account (possible hacker? No, me). The message said to ignore the message if me.
Did you ever give them the information the asked for about 4 months ago? It was to give them a way to contact you if someone tried to hack your account. I used my home phone number for verification. That did a heck of a lot of good since I was not there to answer the call and give information needed to prove the guy trying to get on was me. - mikeh449ExplorerHotmail is no more you must use outlook
- FlatBrokeExplorer IIHappened to me once. Apparently I had some malware and it had signed onto my account. Microsoft email had me jump through a few hoops an change my password. All was well after that.
- wa8yxmExplorer IIIIf you are running any kind of script blocker it can block the capcha
As for what you are doing wrong... Using Microsoft's mail server of course. - trop-a-calExplorerIf you have an anti virus system like Norton and it runs to delete your cookies it may have deleted your previously set codes for that access. Usually you have to enter an e mail or phone that they call you at to give you a temporary access code, as security to the site. Then you enter a new password as your previous one is no good anymore. Some times calling them by phone is easier as they will explain the process.
