I am seeing this on more and more posts in many forums.

Should I care how the author sent the post?

Is there any special about how it was sent that I should know?

Or is it just bragging?

I think Steve Jobs designed the entire Apple product line to be as different from (and incompatible with) anything Microsoft made.

Macs can run Windows.

Well the fellow that Bill Gates hired from Xerox came up with MS Word. I was using an internal to Xerox word processor written by the same fellow, lots of similarities, back before he left for Microsoft.

As far as the iPad or iPhone tag line I modified mine to be more unique but left it. Tends to be an excuse for short messages and the occasional auto correct spelling.

I see you have drunk the Kool-aid of the alternate history folks. Windows is 30 years old? MS DOS ruled a few years before Microsoft could even come up with an alternative to the Mac OS. To Bill Gates' credit he did come out with the graphics based Microsoft Word for the Mac at introduction (1984) a good 8 years before it was available on a Windows OS PC.

I changed mine for a while, then put it back because most e-mail sent from my iPad2 goes to the daughter who gave it to me and I want her to know I am using it.

I would love to kill it on DW's iPad. As a 30+ year Windows user, I hate the damned thing. It was a gift from a family member and she loves it, but I'm expected to do all the "computer geek" stuff for her.

Mine only does it in email. Did not take it off cause I'm a PROUD iPad owner.

Most mobile device apps add a default "signature". It can be changed or removed but most don's take the time...

I use an iPad2 almost exclusively, it's a default that can be turned off like I did.
